We believe every child deserves equal access to support services to help them grow into happy productive adults. And yet, in Appalachian Ohio—an area of concentrated poverty and drug exposure—children don’t have access to pediatric crisis stabilization units, and face a shortage of behavioral health specialists. That’s why, in 2020, we formed the ACC, an alliance of behavioral health, education, and social service professionals from Appalachian Ohio. We work together to meet our region’s most acute needs.
